I haven't been writing much due to a few issues. First I lost my iPhone and was so lost couldn't communicate with anyone!! Who writes do phone numbers any more??? Then had a painful jaw surgery! Ouch!
Now I'm back- The good new is- while I was home with a swollen face, couldn't eat, couldn't call anyone,
I made jewelry! Yes, I was inspired !!
I don't know about other artists but I can only create jewelry, paint, or do anything creative until I get a vision like a bolt of lightning! I have to see or picture in my head. Sounds weird but it's true-
I have gone months without working in my little studio.
Being house bound- I got very creative-
Now I'm posting some of my jewelry in Etsy Shop mostly under Native American and Handmade sections. I did a few Western styles too.
Any way I still have allot more jewelry to list in my Etsy shop. So check it out----------------

Last Friday I was on my way to pick up a girl friend - Then I was it- an Estate sale sign in my neighborhood!!! Wow, I had to turn in and of course search every room in that house for treasures!! Found several items I wanted to buy but didn't have my check book and my cash was limited- so I could only buy my favorite. I forgot all about my girl friend for a while but finally picked her up.
My Estate sale finds!!!
The lesson I learned was don't get to excited about Estate sales - I lost my iPhone that day - Friday the 13th!!!

What a great collection of Mexican Folk art! Tonala vase, small bird figurine, large hand painted owl, and a blue and gray owl dish.
Also found a Anton Peck 1970's Shadow box 3-D art picture of an organ grinder! The Print of an American Indian woman is by R.C. Gorman a Navajo Indian artist established in the 1960 and 70's is professionally framed .
I haven not yet had time to list these treasures in my Etsy shop.
Check later - http://www.etsy.com/shop/baublesabode
Have a great evening !

Estate Sale finds
Here are some of the great items I found at a local Estate Sale before the kids came to stay with me. Now on Sale in my Etsy shop BaublesAbode
Yogi Bear Jellystone Park
Ok - so I have been so busy with grandkids that I haven't had time to work my Etsy shop adding my newest finds or post on my Blog.
We did finish up the two weeks of swim lessons with a stay at Jellystone Park in the hill country. The kids had a great time with the water balloons, paintballs, wagon rides, Yogi, cooking smoores, and of course swimming.
Things should get back to normal soon - school starts in 2 weeks!!

Route 66 Oklahoma
I was determined to do two things on our way back to san Antonio Texas from the family wedding in Wisconsin. One, visit Paris Texas - Just because I wanted to see the city named after my favorite place n the world "Paris". I've been to Paris France several time to visit my son but never to Paris Texas.
Second, I wanted to see the Totem Pole Park listed on my Route 66 travel guide "Oklahoma Route 66 The Ultimate Road Trip" Sounds like so much fun!! I just had to go find these totem poles- 90- foot totem pole made of stone and concrete with more than 200 designs.
After many wrong directions and several it's not to far-s? We finally found the park-small but listed on the National register of historic places. Interesting but not a big Wow.
I have to say part of the fun looking for this historic site was all the little back woods antique shops and vintage stores we came across. I found some great treasures for my Etsy shop-
and some just to keep
Check out my Home Décor and American Indian section at my shop.

GOOD MORNING!
This morning as I went to get my coffee my morning ritual is coffee in the hot tub), I saw our His and Hers Route 66 coffee mugs. Purchased these in Oklahoma on our Route 66 adventure when coming home from a family wedding in Wisconsin. Every year we try to find a new Route 66 Tourist trap. Last year it was a charming Winery in Vinita Oklahoma- The Summerside Vineyards and Winery has backberry wine (we love), tasting room, gift shop, clear rest rooms, and a Bristro Deli with cheeses boards and sandwiches. Well worth our time. This was our second trip to the winery and it is easy to find.
Since Route 66 goes through so many small towns, vintage and treasure hunting is easy! My husband was a good sport and helped me spot some wonderful antique shops, pawn shops, and historic sites.
I'll be back later to tell you more about " The Mother Road Attractions" on Route 66
I have some great pictures if I can figure out where I loaded them on my computer?

I'm back!
After a year I think I will try this blogging stuff again.
First of all I have done some more travel and have to admit - I wish I were rich so I could travel every month!
However, I am not and as a grandmother of 4 great kids - I spend allot of time being the babysitter.
I do have a hobby/Etsy shop on line that keeps me active and busy promoting my shops on line........
First I have Etsy - http://www.etsy.shop/baublesabode
That does OK but I have to promote daily-
When I went on vacation for 10 day - my shop died- Not yet back up to the level of business I had before vacation?
Then I have a Bonanza booth- I thought I'd do books and other things on Bonanza- but my sales a few and far between. http://www.bonanza.com/booths/baublesabode
My failure- I tried, Zibbet, Artfire, Addaway, Big Alley Books, and every free site I could find.
The problem is I don't have $$ to promote my sites and my computer skills are minimal. Also there is the problems that what I sell is flooded in the market place.
Example handmade and vintage jewelry.
So my plan was to expand my products. I did, I added Vintage Ladies Apparel, Home Décor, Western, Mexican, American Indian and supplies sections. Great Improvement in sales!!!
And what a great time I have learning about antiques and vintage. Love hitting all the Estate sales to find treasures for my shop.
Also enjoy the little shops while out traveling the U.S.A. Did you know there is a "Paris" Texas?
Also and "Italy" Texas but that was almost a ghost town.
Also learned you can't be a real town in this country unless you have a Dairy Queen and a Dollar store!! Every town for Texas to Wisconsin had at least one of each!
Time to go I need to mail a package - sold one of my handmade Zuni style necklaces. Ya!!
